First impression: this thing is tiny!While I am grateful that it arrived in tact, I am also surprised because it was loose in the amazon box along with other items I ordered and it did not have any (zero) packing material inside the product box. It did not have bubble wrap around the item box either and, again, it was loose in the outer box. SO grateful it arrived quickly and in tact!This product was made in china and you feel it. Its like eating empty food (no nutrition, no love). I have other Portmeirion, made-in-England items and they just feel different. I now understand why some people are adamant about getting these from England. I'm not sure I'll order any more second rate Portmeirion.Still, it looks ok and it's nice to have a smaller cake pedestal. Just know that it is made in China & its mailed w/o packing material.Happy Holidays and Happy Baking!
