Since 1892, Wilton Armetale has constructed unique serving pieces in silver and pewter, gracefully combining beauty and durability. Individually handcrafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, no two pieces are exactly alike. The entire piece measures 11 inches in diameter, and stands 4-3/4 inches tall. The top of my cake stand broke apart from bottom during shipping. At first, I thought there was assembly required - but the screw connecting the two was sheered off and it was obvious that the glue that helped hold things together didn't do a great job. I cannot get the two pieces to stay securely together -- I definitely don't trust this to hold my wedding cake. The description stated that Wilton Armetale metal won't rust or dent -- but there was a big dent in the top plate. I am very disappointed in my purchase.
