This cake plate is quite nice in that the glass is heavy and doesn't look cheap. We have used during different times of the year, even though it is labeled as "Christmas" because if you have a cake on it, you can't really see the tree decorations, but only the stars.I highly recommend contact the seller to ensure that the packaging is secure - We ordered five and had two of the five that were received broken; while returning for replacement was not an issue, it is always frustrating to have to return and wait for new product to come - especially when you order for a specific event.
