White Raiment cake boards are direct-contact foodsafe on the top surface and edges, and are seal-coated on the bottom surface for appearance. All White Raiment Pillar Boards are seal-coated on all sides for appearance. All White Raiment Pillars (dowels) are cut to exact, uniform lengths, are direct-contact foodsafe, and are partially dipped for appearance.
The pillar boards which are the core of this amazing stacking system have a unique centering pin that protrudes approximately 1/4" up from the exact center of the board. This pin is intended to catch the center hole that is found in every cake board, thus providing an "automatic" centering aide, and also added stability to each layer preventing slippage of the cake.
